HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Getting ready for Texan game days takes planning for the French Corner.
"The day before we have a small meeting with the chef and the staff," said owner George Haddad.
The restaurant sits just blocks away from NRG Stadium and breakfast alone was extra busy.
"At a minimum we served 400 for breakfast, at a minimum," said Haddad.
Plus, Haddad said while he's used to seeing his usual customers, the football crowd comes from all over town, bringing in new customers to his business.
"It's extra income for us because the people that come in here they are not our locals. They come from all over the city, so we don't see them always. We see them on occasion," said Haddad.
Around the corner from Haddad's restaurant sits another shopping center. It is right across the street from NRG Stadium. Subway is in the shopping center. Staff there said their low prices make them attractive to customers, especially compared to the cost of stadium food.
However, another restaurant in the same shopping said they lose business on game day because their building is hard to get to.
"It's just traffic, a lot of traffic," said Mohammad Omar the manager of Dimassis Buffet.
He said the traffic causes one entrance to be blocked off so that hurts them too.
Other businesses said they see a boost after the game.
All-in-all, the impact seemed to vary.
