Officials in Carrollton, Texas, said a shooting that left two people dead and three injured was not a random act, and that the shooter is in custody.
A shooting suspect was arrested after a man was shot to death during a fight at a store on Grand Avenue in Bacliff, according to Galveston County deputies.
Houston police said an argument between three men led to the deadly gunfire at an apartment Thursday afternoon.
Investigators said there was an altercation outside the business off Highway 6 when shots were fired, killing the victim.
"We believe this was a public execution," an attorney representing the victim's family said. Police released the shooter, and community leaders say he's still living at the apartment complex where the shooting occurred.
Police say the initial information is that a dispute between family members escalated to the deadly mid-afternoon stabbing.
