Man found dead inside Missouri City home after standoff

MISSOURI CITY, Texas (KTRK) -- A barricaded man was found dead inside a Missouri City home after a SWAT standoff.

Around 5 p.m., police were called to the home on Quail Hills and Quail Park, where there was a weapons disturbance.

Houston police say two women got into an argument with their father, who pulled out a gun.

The girls ran out of the house and then heard a single gunshot.

Officers tried to make contact with the man but were unable to communicate with him.

A SWAT team was called to a home in Missouri City, where officers say a man has barricaded himself inside a home.

A SWAT team was called to the scene, who sent a robot inside the home with a camera.

That is when the man's body was found. Investigators said he appears to have died from a self-inflected gunshot wound.
