All eastbound lanes on 610 N. Loop at TC Jester have reopened after an SUV caught fire

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- All eastbound lanes on 610 North Loop at TC Jester have reopened after an SUV caught fire Thursday morning.

The fiery crash shut down all eastbound lanes around 5am.

The exit ramp to Ella is still blocked.

Authorities say that the driver of the SUV ran from the scene after the vehicle caught fire.

There is also an overturned waste management garbage truck at exit ramp 14 near the burned SUV. Hazmat has been called out, because fuel could be leaking from the truck.
