Driver survives after SUV falls two stories off overpass

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A driver survived a two story fall off a hardy toll road overpass.

Investigators say the female driver was traveling southbound on the Hardy Toll Road at Crosstimbers around 11pm Sunday when she lost control of her vehicle. The SUV then went over the rail, fell 20 feet and landed on it's roof on the street below.

The female driver was taken to Ben Taub hospital in serious condition, but she is expected to live.
