HOUSTON (KTRK) -- It's no secret that some of the nation's best sushi restaurants can be found right here in Texas! We asked our viewers for their favorites, and here are the top 10!

Uchi

Uchi is one of Houston's hottest restaurants so make reservations! The upscale restaurant prides itself on using the finest, freshest ingredients. They maintain close relationships with local farmers and fly in seafood every day from both Fukuoka and Tsukiji markets in Japan. Owner and executive chef Tyson Cole won the 2011 James Beard Award for best chef in the Southwest.

Japaneiro's

Japaneiro's in Sugarland combines the best of both worlds - a sushi bistro and Latin grill! This was one of the most raved about spots from ABC-13 viewers. The fusion cuisine makes for one of the most interesting sushi menus.

RA Sushi

If you stumble upon lively music, a vibrant crowd, and inventive cocktails, you've made it to RA! There are two locations in the area - one in Highland Village and the other in CityCentre.

Little Tokyo

Originally from Taiwan, the owner of Little Tokyo moved to the United States in 1998, and his wife followed shortly thereafter. Their dream was to open a sushi restaurant in the Houston area, and now they have two! ABC-13 viewer Josie Maria Sena says they have the best prices and variety!

Sage 400

Sage 400 has become one of the elite Houston Galleria restaurants. ABC-13 viewer Kathy Adelson Laucius says it may not be the cheapest, but to her the ambience is worth the expense.

Miyako

Miyako has been serving sushi in Houston since 1979. There are locations - one on Kirby and the other on Westheimer. Happy hour is Monday through Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. They also have a 6-8-10 special weekdays from 9 p.m. until close.

Sushi Choochoo

Sushi Choochoo is a fun, unique sushi experience. The items are placed onto color coded plates that come to you! You can start right away, as soon as you are seated. All you have to do is select the dishes you like off the conveyor belt, stacking up your plates. When you are ready to check out, a server will tally your bill according to the color codes of plates.

Kata Robata

From its inception in 2010, Kata Robata on Kirby has quickly become one of Houston's favorite sushi spots. The year it opened it earned Houston's Best New Restaurant Award. James Beard Award-nominated Chef Manabu Horiuchi creates unique Japanese dishes with French fusion undertones.

Sushi Jin

Sushi Jin on Memorial Drive is a favorite among viewers for its unique dishes. Browsing through photos of the food is almost like looking at works of art. They also fly in their fish from overseas to ensure the best ingredients.

Kubo's

Kubo's in Rice Village has been one of the top sushi restaurants in Houston for nearly 13 years and counting. They have a frequent diner program that allows customers to earn points for every visit that can be redeemed for discounts on future meals. They'll also reward members during their birthday month
