Chevron Houston Marathon and Aramco Houston Half Marathon sold out, organizers say
Organizers said this is the fastest they've sold out since the pandemic.
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The 2027 Chevron Houston Marathon is just over five months away, and organizers say the event is already full.
Next year's race weekend will be Jan. 13-17 and includes the Chevron Houston Marathon, Aramco Houston Half Marathon, and the We Are Houston 5K.
General registration for the Chevron Houston Marathon and Aramco Houston Half Marathon is sold out, according to marathon officials, who said there are only a few Run for a Reason charity entries remaining in the marathon only.
The organizers said that the only way to get those is to register as a HERO, which includes a discounted entry fee and a $350 donation to one of their 68 charities.
Organizers added that this is the fastest they've sold out since the pandemic.
The total number of participants for the race weekend is expected to be 40,000 -- the highest officials said they've ever had.
