Thankful residents treat NYPD to coffee, pizza after explosions
Thankful residents are treating New York police and fire department employees to coffee and pizza to thank them for their work after the explosions in Chelsea.

NEW YORK -- Thankful residents are expressing gratitude towards first responders in New York in the wake of this weekend's explosions in Chelsea.

An employee from the 23rd Street and Fifth Avenue Starbucks hand-delivered three bags full of coffee and pastries to police and firefighters in Chelsea. The kind gesture captured on video and posted to Facebook by KnightNews.com has since gone viral.

Residents also took the opportunity on Monday to deliver pizza to officers monitoring the site of the attack in Chelsea.

Saturday night's explosions are still under investigation.
