HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The list of accolades for former Jack Yates High School superstar Joe Young continues to grow.
From two-time state champion, Texas' Mr. Basketball in 2010, Pac-12 Player of the Year, to playing in the NBA, Young is the first to have his number retired at the school.
The Indiana Pacers guard had his No. 0 jersey retired on Wednesday with the Pacers in town to face the Rockets.
"Thanks Third Ward High, it's been a pleasure!" Young tweeted earlier this week.
Young was selected in the second round of the 2015 NBA Draft by the Pacers.
