HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- For aspiring Houston Texans cheerleaders, Saturday was a big day: tryout day.
Hundreds of women -- and even some men -- packed the Texans Practice Bubble at NRG Park on Saturday to show off their best moves and win a spot on the squad next season.
After the auditionees gathered in front of the stage, cheer director and coach Alto Gary and other squad officials led the hopefuls in a stretch and warm-up. The aspiring cheerleaders then learned a short routine of classic cheerleader moves to show off their dance chops.

In groups of three, the hopefuls performed the routine for a judging panel comprised of members of the media, Texans suite holders, super fans and team officials.
At the end of the routine, the auditionees were given several measures to freestyle and show off their personality.

By the end of the night, the massive group will be whittled down to 50 men and women who will then advance to training camp.
