WILLIAMSPORT, PA (KTRK) -- The run in the Little League World Series came to an end for the Pearland East All-Stars Tuesday, as the local sluggers fell, 6-1, to a team from Illinois.
Pearland finishes with a 2-2 record at the Little League World Series. And though they didn't bring home a world title, they will be taking with them baseball memories from Williamsport that will last a lifetime.
For the Illinois team, pitcher Joshua Houston struck out five in five innings.
Tuesday's loss comes a day after Pearland eliminated Washington. Pearland also had an opening round win over Rhode Island.
