Cy-Fair Bobcats continue historic football playoff run in semis tilt.

CYPRESS, Texas (KTRK) -- Fresh off a win over rival Langham Creek, Cy-Fair is rolling into the state semifinals this week.

The Bobcats will face Austin Westlake on Saturday at NRG Stadium.

It's been an incredible ride for Cy-Fair and head coach Ed Pustejovsky. The last time the Bobcats made it this far in the playoffs, Pustejovsky was the offensive line coach back in 1985.

Current players laughed at the idea that they weren't even born 32 years ago. But they're all thrilled to bring their coach and their school back into the final four in Class 6A Division II.

Senior linebacker Patrick Atkinson tells us the playoff run "has been a blast" and that "It's the highlight of my high school career."

Two more wins and it will be the memory of a lifetime for a special group of seniors at Cy-Fair.
