HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- There's another reason to celebrate, Astros fans.
A.J. Hinch has been named Baseball America's Manager of the Year.
The yearly award was announced Wednesday morning.
Hinch led the Astros to the team's first World Series win, beating the Los Angeles Dodgers on Nov. 1.
He guided the team to a 101-61 record for the season, which marked the third-highest win total in MLB and the second-highest in franchise history.
Hinch is the second manager in the team's franchise to win Baseball American Manager of the Year Award. In 1998, Larry Dierker won the award in the first year that it was presented.
