The Christmas sweater used to be something many people loathed -- an itchy, ill-fitting garment with an oversized reindeer lovingly knit by your great aunt Mildred. It was donned once a year for as brief a period as possible, perhaps just long enough for an awkward family photo.
But those tacky toppers are now totally en vogue. Online retailers bring in big bucks for the sweaters, the uglier the better, and it is now uncommon to attend holiday partiers where an ugly sweater is required attire. There's even an entire day dedicated them -- Dec. 16 is National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day. Organizers encourage people to proudly sport their favorite, ugliest Christmas sweaters for the entire day, whether they are at work, school or making a court appearance.
We want to see your ugly holiday sweaters! Post your your favorite sweater pics to our Facebook page.
