Internet falls in love with Florida police officers in viral posts.

GAINESVILLE, Florida (KTRK) -- Cue the love birds! Officers from the Gainesville Police Department have captured the eyes of America and perhaps the heart of many admirers.

In a post to Facebook on Sept. 10, three officers were spotted before their night shift during the aftermath of Hurricane Irma.

"Officers Nordman, Hamill and Rengering...part of the night crew getting ready to do some work," the caption read.

That simple post has led to an all-out infatuation over the male officers. The post has been shared over 110,000 times with more than 70,000 comments on the post.

In response to the newfound fame, Gainesville police confirmed that there will be a calendar forthcoming benefiting Irma recovery efforts in Florida.

"We are dying with the comments. You've actually made our chief blush with some of them," Gainesville PD said on Facebook.

To those interested in Officers Nordman and Hamill, bad news: both men are married, the department confirmed. Officer Rengering, described as the one "with the amazing hair," is single, but the department jokes he's being placed into "Cougar Prey Protective Care, similar to the witness protection program for his safety."

As if the frenzy was not enough, Gainesville Police Department posted a photo of more officers, which has now gone viral.

As you may guess, the comments are downright hilarious and bring much-needed laughter after the recent devastation across Texas and Florida.
