A look inside Houston's hottest Halloween block party
HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Once a year on Azalea Street in Garden Oaks, you can find about everything imaginable, as hundreds of costumed kids and parents pass up and down the street.
"I like that you get candy and it's fun. All the decorations," trick-or-treater Marie told Eyewitness News.

It has become a tradition for so many here. There are lines at some houses, a traffic jam up and down the street, and police directing cars in the neighborhood.
Families actually drive in for this environment, like Maria Hall, who said her families travels 15 minutes from the north side.
"I've been coming here since my child was little, just like her. Their candy good, everything is safe and it's a safe neighborhood to be in," said Hall.
Some come from areas where they say it's not a safe trick-or-treat neighborhood. "I noticed they have cops patrolling this area so it's nicer and safer for the kids," remarked Rebecca Chavarria.

As the night goes on, the crowd grows. A neighbor named Norbert said, "This is wonderful because of the reception to see the kids, thousands go by. You feel like a kid."
The best part? The adult neighbors are having as much fun as the kids.
