Police investigating shooting in northeast Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man is in the hospital in critical condition after being shot multiple times at a home in northeast Houston.

Police were called to a home on Lomax Street near Knight Street after neighbor's reported hearing gunshots. Police then found the male victim in the backyard of a home there with at least four gunshot wounds. The man was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

Witnesses told police they spotted several people fleeing the home after hearing the gunshots. Investigators did not find the weapon used in the shooting, but they did find a car with crack cocaine and beer inside.
