HUMBLE, TX (KTRK) -- A bullet hole can still be seen in Karla Hernandez's garage door on Grand Linden Court in Humble. Hernandez was home when gunfire broke out Monday night.

Harris County Sheriff deputies said a fight between two possible gangs led up to the violence.

Bullets hit two young brothers, 6-year-old Daniel Cerda and 11-year old Oscar Cerda. Hernandez told Eyewitness News she grabbed a blanket, raced out to the street and tried to stop Daniel's bleeding.

"I help them but it's very hard. It's very terrible," said Hernandez. "All our neighbors were there and help the babies."

Hernandez said Cerda's mother cried over her sons as she waited for police and paramedics. The boys are expected to survive from their injuries. As of Tuesday afternoon, they remain in Texas Children's Hospital.

Harris County Constable Precinct 4's office offered abc13 "no comment" when asked about the recent violence in the Kenswick Meadows neighborhood. They handed over Monday's shooting to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

So far, there have been no arrests made in connection to the shooting.
