HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- One Shipley Do-Nuts owner is giving back to an employee who lost everything during Hurricane Harvey.
Franchise owner Mike Simon presented a very sweet $3,000 check to Lucia Flores to help with flood recovery. Flores' home filled with waist-deep water during the storm, and she lost all that she owned.
Simon himself was presented with the check from an organization called "Our Town America." That group has raised money to help small businesses impacted by the flood.
Flores said she didn't know what to say, except "thank you."
