GRIND Basketball shoots its shot on "Shark Tank"
Thomas Fields came up with the idea of GRIND Basketball as a way to practice by himself while rehabbing an injury, now he gets his shot of presenting his invention on Shark Tank

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- GRIND Basketball started as a simple idea when Thomas Fields was in high school.

He was coming back from another basketball injury, and wanted a way to practice without relying on a coach or teammate to be on the court with him.

Six years later, GRIND Basketball is a successful company and creator of the first portable basketball shooting machine that can fit in a duffel bag. It weighs 100 pounds and opens up into a 12-foot tall machine that helps athletes practice after injuries, work on their shots, and become more well-rounded players.

Tonight Fields will pitch GRIND Basketball to the sharks on Shark Tank. To see if he scores a deal, tune in at 7pm on ABC13!
