CONROE, Texas (KTRK) -- After more than a decade playing Santa, a Conroe business owner fears he won't be able to this year after his costume was ruined in Harvey's flooding.
Duane Painter's home got four feet of water during the unprecedented flood emergency.
Painter and his family are still staying a hotel. He said it could be more than a year before they can move home.
He said he also discovered his authentic Santa suit and accessories that cost hundreds of dollars were ruined.
Painter said he hopes he's able to find a new suit in time for the holidays.
"The second you see the kids, it transforms everything. The only reason I do it is for them," he said.
