New Jersey shoppers balk over pricey Santa
A New Jersey mall is learning not to mess with holiday traditions.

CHERRY HILL, NJ (KTRK) -- A New Jersey mall is learning the hard way not to mess with a holiday tradition.

For years, Cherry Hill Mall has offered free visits with Santa Claus until mall management introduced a new high-tech Santa experience for 2015.

For $35 to $75, the mall said shoppers could enjoy an exciting new interactive event fit for the holidays.

Cherry Hill consumers balked, calling for a boycott of the mall on social media.

In the end, the shoppers won and the mall made Santa visits free once more.
