SWANSBORO, NC -- Police arrested a Swansboro man after spotting him dragging a safe behind his car.
WCTI-TV reports it happened Tuesday around 5:30 a.m.
The Swansboro Police Department said the alarm at Family Care Pharmacy on Main Street went off and officers responded.
They later spotted 22-year-old Ryan Mullins driving down the road with the safe tied to the back of his car with nylon rope and arrested him.
The safe was full of prescription drugs.
Mullins is charged with felony breaking and entering, larceny, possession of stolen goods, two felony counts of trafficking opium or heroin, one count of safe cracking, and DWI.
