Man robbed, shot while taking out the trash

BAYTOWN, TX -- A man was shot multiple times during an apparent robbery attempt at an apartment complex in the 900 block of Northwood in Baytown.

Police say the 74-year-old victim was taking out the trash when he was approached by a group of suspects. The man was shot multiple times in the lower body.

Officers quickly arrived and took one suspect into custody. Police say there may be other suspects who got away.

The victim was airlifted to Memorial Hermann in unknown condition.
