HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A suspect accused of stabbing a woman is in custody after being tased by officers on Friday morning, according to Harris County Constable Precinct 4's Office.

The suspect, identified as Aaron McFarland, was charged with murder in connection with the stabbing death of 27-year-old Abriana Hall, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez. HCSO said that McFarland was booked in the Harris County Jail.

Investigators said constable deputies were called out to the 218000 block of Northcrest Drive to see about a violent disturbance involving a woman.

Pct. 4 said Hall was found by deputies with a stab wound to her neck and stomach. EMS provided aid to the victim and took her to the hospital, but officials said she died from her injuries.

Deputies said McFarland was seen a short time later trying to run from the area, but deputies located him and used a taser before arresting him.

Officials did not disclose the nature of the relationship between the woman and the suspect, but confirmed that the investigation is still ongoing.
