Woman arrested after leading deputies on chase in N. Harris Co.: HCSO

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A woman is in custody after leading deputies on a chase and crashing in north Harris County on Monday, authorities say.

According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, deputies spotted a stolen Pontiac near Hollow Tree Lane and Westfield Place Drive. Deputies said they began a traffic stop, but the driver did not pull over.

Investigators said the vehicle then led deputies on a chase with speeds reaching up to 80 miles per hour. The vehicle then lost control and crashed at Century Plaza Drive near North Briar Drive.

Officials said a woman was arrested for felony evading and that other charges are currently pending. Investigators did not immediately release the suspect's identity.
