Waller ISD school bus involved in crash off Highway 290, no injuries reported, district says

WALLER COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- There were no reported injuries after a Waller ISD school bus was involved in a crash, district officials said.

According to deputies, the crash occurred off Highway 290 and Kickapoo Road on Friday afternoon.

Waller ISD spokesperson Sarah Marcus said eight students and one driver were on board when the bus collided with another vehicle.

Marcus said the students' families were contacted, and that parents were picking up their students at the scene.

An image obtained by Eyewitness News showed the school bus with a mangled front end and a pickup truck with damage to the driver's side.

Authorities said the crash was under investigation.
