HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A teen led law enforcement on a brief pursuit that ended in a crash involving a school bus in the Humble area, the Harris County Sheriff's Office said.

According to HCSO, four of the more than two dozen students in the school bus were rushed to the hospital with minor injuries after a 17-year-old suspect crashed into them while evading deputies.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said the pursuit began Tuesday evening near the Eastex Freeway and Lee Road and concluded at the 14200 block of the Eastex Freeway service road.

Aldine ISD released a statement saying the bus was carrying 28 students from Aldine Middle School, and that the four injured were taken by ambulance to the hospital for evaluation.

AISD said it was working closely with law enforcement and emphasized that student safety is its top priority.

Deputies said they took the teen suspect into custody, adding that the vehicle was reported stolen and a stolen gun was recovered.

Gonzalez did not say why deputies began pursuing the suspect.
