Traffic cameras show deputies take person into custody on North Freeway after apparent chase
Traffic on the North Fwy was brought to a halt Sunday morning as deputies took a person into custody after an apparent chase, traffic cameras showed.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Traffic on the North Freeway was brought to a halt Sunday morning as deputies took a person into custody after an apparent chase, Transtar cameras showed.

Around 9:50 a.m., traffic was stopped as numerous patrol vehicles followed a dark-colored sedan. The sedan eventually stopped, and deputies were seen slowly approaching the vehicle in the southbound lanes near Richey, video footage showed.

Multiple deputies could be seen removing a person from a dark-colored sedan and taking them into custody.

The Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office responded to the scene, but has not revealed any details surrounding the apparent chase or what led up to it.

ABC13 has reached out to Precinct 4 deputies for more information and is awaiting a response.

All lanes of the freeway were reopened by noon.
