
TOMBALL, Texas (KTRK) -- A woman has been charged with murder after authorities said she shot and killed her boyfriend.
The Tomball Police Department said officers were called out to a weapons disturbance call in the 1000 block of Village Square on Monday at about 7:57 p.m.
Authorities said the caller, identified as Nancy Merrel, told dispatchers she had shot her boyfriend. When officers arrived at the scene, they found the 67-year-old victim with gunshot wounds.
Tomball PD said that despite officers' lifesaving efforts, the victim succumbed to his injuries. An investigation revealed he had been shot multiple times.
Merrel was taken into custody and charged with murder.
The case remains under investigation at this time.
