Tim Curry's cause of death revealed

LOS ANGELES -- The cause of death for actor Tim Curry has been revealed one week after he died at his Los Angeles area home.

Documents from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health indicate Curry died of coronary artery disease.

The documents also cited a history of stroke and kidney cancer as other significant conditions that contributed to his death.

Curry, who suffered a stroke in 2012 that put him in a wheelchair, died at his home in Toluca Lake last week. He was 80.

Curry was best known for playing Dr. Frank-N-Furter in "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." He earned three Tony nominations - for "Spamalot," "My Favorite Year" and "Amadeus" - and an Emmy nod in 1994.

His other film credits include "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York," "Clue" and "Annie."
