SWAT responds after man threatens workers, barricades himself inside SW Houston building, HPD says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The Houston Police Department said it is investigating a SWAT scene that unfolded in southwest Houston on Monday night.

According to HPD, a suspect barricaded himself inside a building in the 3800 block of Omeara Drive off Stella Link Road.

Authorities said the man had a dispute with the property manager and threatened maintenance workers with a firearm.

That's when the police were called, and HPD officers arrived on scene, police said.

HPD said no one was injured and that their negotiators successfully spoke with the alleged suspect until he came out.

Police said the man had no hostages and was by himself.
