WILLIS, Texas (KTRK) -- The City of Willis announced Tuesday that it has discontinued its Flock cameras and that the system will remain shut down until further notice.

In a statement, Mayor William Brown said the Willis City Council will discuss how the city will move forward with its Flock system.

"Public safety remains one of our highest priorities," Brown said, "but we must also make sure the tools and technology used within our city are appropriately reviewed and that the concerns of our residents are heard."

City leaders also thanked everyone who shared their concerns and questions about the Flock camera system. Officials did not reveal the specific reasons or concerns raised.
