HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A woman was robbed in the Memorial City Mall parking lot after being followed by two suspects from inside the mall on Thursday evening, authorities said.
According to the Harris County Precinct 5 Constable's Office, video showed that the two suspects started following the woman from the mall's Apple store, where she had just bought a MacBook and other Apple products.
Authorities said that the 51-year-old woman was leaving the mall and putting her belongings into her vehicle in the parking lot when one of the suspects ran up to her and snatched one of the bags in her hand. Officials said that the two tussled over the bag, leaving the woman's arm bruised before the suspect ran away with the bag.
Investigators said that surveillance video showed that the suspect then got into a red GMC Arcadia. Later that evening, Flock cameras caught the suspect vehicle at a nearby cell phone repair store near Gessner Road and Braeswood Boulevard.
Deputies said they initiated a traffic stop and detained two people in the vehicle. Investigators said they then determined that the vehicle's two occupants were the suspects in the robbery based on the security video.
Officials said the suspects were arrested and charged with robbery. According to court documents, the suspects were identified as 21-year-old Noah Kamara and 22-year-old David Williams.
Pct. 5 said the stolen items were recovered and returned to the victim.
