3 men arrested, more possibly involved in string of armed robberies: Fort Bend Co. Sheriff's Office

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- Three men are behind bars, and more could be wanted in connection with a multi-agency aggravated robbery investigation.

Tuesday, the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office announced that 22-year-old Alex Rosales-Puente and 21-year-old Wilfredo Perez were arrested on Aug. 18, and 19-year-old Ian Mohammad Dakka was arrested on Sep. 1.

Law enforcement said the three men are accused of robbing seven businesses in the Bellair, Beechnut, and Highway 6 area. Six of the seven crimes happened from the evening of Aug. 6 and into Aug. 7.

Fort Bend County Sheriff Eric Fagan said the three men approached a taco truck and other local businesses, unmasked, with a gun, and demanded money.

Investigators said the suspects only made off with a few thousand dollars, grabbing whatever was in cash registers.

Through a multi-department investigation involving the Fort Bend County Sheriff, the Harris County Sheriff, and the Houston Police Department, the men were linked to the crimes and arrested.

Investigators said no one was injured in the aggravated robberies, but law enforcement says other suspects or victims could be out there.

"It's an ongoing investigation; right now we have three, there could be more, there could be other people who have been robbed who were just afraid to come forward," Fagan said.

Law enforcement said that during the arrest of the three suspects, guns and other evidence connected to the robberies were found, but they would not go into detail, citing the ongoing investigation.

Law enforcement says surveillance video was a key part in connecting the crimes across jurisdictions. All three men are charged with aggravated robbery and are behind bars.
