Suspect charged in shooting that left 52-year-old man dead at Willowbrook-area apartment, HPD says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Charges have been filed against a suspect accused of shooting a man to death at an apartment complex in the Willowbrook area, the Houston Police Department said.

The suspect, 49-year-old Johna Robinson, was charged with murder in the shooting death of a 52-year-old man on 9611 Grant Road on Tuesday night, according to HPD.

According to police, the 52-year-old's identity is pending autopsy results by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

On Tuesday, HPD said that officers responded to the scene and found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds. HFD paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Detectives learned that the victim was standing in the parking lot when he was shot, HPD said.
