Ship Channel Bridge closed to traffic in both directions

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The northbound and southbound lanes of the Sam Houston Tollway Ship Channel Bridge are temporarily closed.

Drivers may take the I-610 bridge as an alternate.

There's no immediate word on how long the closure may be in place.
