HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A murder-suicide is being investigated after deputies say a husband and wife were found dead in a Cypress-area home early on Friday.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to the 13200 block of Campos Drive after a man called 911 saying he found his parents dead in their room.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said the couple, who were married and in their 70s, died from gunshot wounds.

According to Gonzalez, it's believed the man shot and killed his wife before turning the gun on himself.

Deputies said they were interviewing family and the son who lived with them.

An investigation remains ongoing.
