HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- About 80 people were arrested during a multi-agency warrant roundup in Harris County, targeting violent offenders, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

Among the suspects was Joshua Aaron Gomez, whom the sheriff's office called "one of the most significant arrests." Gomez, a Houston-area chiropractor, was arrested in August following allegations of a yearslong pattern of sexual assaults and indecent offenses across multiple Texas counties. He was released a day after his arrest in August.

During Tuesday's update, it was revealed that 13 women have come forward in his case, but authorities believe there may be more survivors who have not yet reported their encounters.

Gomez was arrested again in November, during the violent offender roundup. Authorities said he was found in his home in Katy and taken into custody without incident. Felony sexual assault charges have been filed in Hidalgo County and Harris County, with additional offenses under investigation.

Another suspect arrested was Wilfred Sequerios, a former elementary school teacher and soccer coach with Klein ISD and Houston ISD. According to authorities, Sequerios is accused of sexually and physically assaulting at least seven children between the ages of 7 and 10 from 2014 to 2019.

During the warrants operation, HCSO identified the open cases and collaborated with the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force to locate Sequerios in Peru. He has since been extradited back to Harris County.

In all, the warrant roundup led to 103 warrants cleared, with 96 for felony charges and 53 for crimes against children.
