HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A man was arrested and charged after a police chase along the West Loop, according to Harris County court documents.

The documents report that on Wednesday, Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies initiated a traffic stop on Jonathan Garcia, who was allegedly wanted on multiple federal and state felony warrants, in the 9500 block of Little York.

During the stop, a passenger who did not want to be involved exited the vehicle, suffering a minor road-rash injury, officials say.

Garcia then fled, according to the documents, leading deputies on a 14-minute chase covering roughly 15 miles.

SkyEye covered the high-speed pursuit, following as the deputies chased the suspect along the southbound lanes of the West Loop.

After multiple attempts to stop the suspect, the vehicle was disabled in the Galleria area, Sgt. Johnny Hernandez stated. Authorities then took Garcia into custody without any further incident, the documents report.

Garcia was charged with evading arrest in addition to his existing warrants, according to the court records.
