HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A man is facing charges following an alleged terroristic threat toward Houston's new Ismaili Center.

According to records, Jacolby Poindexter was arrested on Saturday and has been charged with making a terroristic threat.

Court documents state that on April 11, Poindexter drove onto the property, spoke with a security guard, and made statements such as "this is our hood you guys are taking over." Records state he was asked to leave and then began making direct threats and repeatedly said he would return and "kill all the Muslims and Jews."

Fearing for his safety, the security guard called the Houston Police Department.

Through an investigation, authorities were led to Poindexter, who allegedly admitted to being present at the Ismaili Center and said he was "upset because he has been through some things when it comes to Islamic people," records state.

Poindexter said he was just voicing his opinion and denied having made threats to kill anyone, according to court documents.

Records show Poindexter was released on a $30,000 bond and is expected back in court on June 30.
