Houston Fire Department responds to water rescue after reports of vehicle in water

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A water rescue is reportedly underway in the Heights on Friday afternoon.

According to the Houston Fire Department, units were dispatched at 2:30 p.m. after reports of a vehicle in the water at 1299 W 6th Street near North Sheperd.

It's unclear how the vehicle may have ended up in the water or if anyone is inside.
