1 person killed in crash involving cement truck and another vehicle in Hockley, HCSO says

HOCKLEY, Texas (KTRK) -- The Harris County Sheriff's Office says it's investigating a deadly crash involving a cement truck in Hockley on Wednesday morning.

Deputies said they responded to the wreck at the 35200 block of Hempstead Highway eastbound at about 6 a.m.

The crash involved a cement truck and another vehicle, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, who confirmed one person had died at the scene.

It's unclear at this time what caused the crash. SkyEye flew over the scene, where law enforcement had closed the highway as they investigated.
