FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A Fort Bend County home was totally destroyed in a house fire sparked by a lightning strike, county fire officials said.

The Fort Bend County fire marshal said the incident happened on Sunday near Spanish Forest Lane and Old South Drive in the Pecan Grove area.

The home was determined to be a total loss after a lightning strike during storms that moved through the area, the county fire marshal said.

One firefighter was evaluated and treated for a heat-related injury, but there were no civilian injuries, fire officials said.
