Former teacher arrested and charged after allegedly sexually abusing student, Friendswood PD says

FRIENDSWOOD, Texas (KTRK) -- A former teacher was arrested and charged this week after he allegedly sexually abused a student at the school he once worked at, according to the Friendswood Police Department.

Lewis Stott, 32, is accused of continuous sexual abuse of a young child, and Friendswood PD confirmed the victim was a student.

Stott recently worked at The Galloway School in several roles, including physical education teacher, second-grade teacher and soccer club coach, according to police.

The Galloway School confirmed Stott's employment, but clarified that he separated from the school in May 2026.

Officials with the school added that they are cooperating with investigators in various investigations and that their first priority is the safety, security, and education of children entrusted in their care.

In a previous message to ABC13, the school said that they were unaware of Stott's arrest.

Due to his former job and his access to children, detectives said there could potentially be more victims.

Friendswood PD is asking parents who believe their children may have had contact with Stott to contact them at 281-996-3300.

Police said the investigation remains active.
