HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Dickinson police officers who responded to a two-vehicle crash on the Gulf Freeway said they found one of the drivers with a gunshot wound to the head.
The crash blocked two southbound lanes near FM 517 and backed traffic up to FM 646 on Tuesday morning. At about 8 a.m., the accident had cleared, and the freeway was reopened.
The Dickinson Police Department says it is unclear whether the driver's gunshot wound was self-inflicted or caused by someone else, but that is under investigation. The other driver was not injured, police said.
