HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Parents at Alief ISD's Hastings High School received a troubling letter from principal Dr. William Price on Monday morning about a 'serious incident'.
The district said an incident involving a staff member and a student ended with emergency responders on campus, but now the district isn't answering questions.
ABC13 reporter Lileana Pearson went to Hastings High School to find out what happened.
In the letter obtained by Eyewitness News, we learn the staff member was injured.
ABC13 is working to learn what role the staff member and student played in the incident.
The district has not said how seriously the staff member was injured, or what job that staff member fills at Hastings HS.
Alief ISD did say the campus was placed in secure mode for a short time Monday morning, but returned to normal operations for the rest of the day.
Eyewitness News is continuing to press the district on the teacher's condition and whether any charges will stem from the incident, but the district is not answering those questions.
