Margaret Qualley, Josh Brolin, Guy Pearce, Allison Janney, Benedict Wong and more star in the 20th Century Studios film.

"Drama. Fear. Terror. You have all of those coming in together. You've got a perfect storm."
Ridley Scott's new movie for 20th Century Studios, "The Dog Stars," offers the legendary director "something I haven't done before."
"The Dog Stars" follows a group of survivors living in a post-apocalyptic world after a virus wipes out humanity.
In a new featurette for the film, Scott shares, "'The Dog Stars' is about the world's end. The scope of this film is tailored for the big screen. There's nothing like it."
He also praises his cast. "I cast intuitively. I never questioned Jacob and Josh, with Margaret and Guy Pearce. They're absolutely born for this," Scott said.
Jacob Elordi, who plays pilot Hig, explains, "Hig has this feeling inside of him that there's something else out there."
"He's a survivor despite having gone through true horror. He gives her a great deal of hope," Elordi's co-star Margaret Qualley shared about Hig's relationship with her character, Cima.
Josh Brolin (Bangley) opens up about his role as well, "My character Bangley is more hyper present. The threat is always right around the corner."
Cast members also include Guy Pearce, Allison Janney and Benedict Wong.
Watch the terror unfold in the sci-fi action movie "The Dog Stars," in theaters Aug. 28.
