"This whole thing has spiraled."

"This is so hard to talk about."

Has #MomTok hit its limit for drama? That's the question at hand in the season five trailer of "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives."

The series stars Taylor Frankie Paul, Jen Affleck, Jessi Draper, Layla Taylor, Mayci Neeley, Mikayla Matthews, Miranda Hope and Whitney Leavitt.

Season four ended with Taylor leaving to film "The Bachelorette," after having just hooked up with her ex, Dakota Mortensen.

The official description says the following: "After two wild years, #MomTok is hotter than hell, but will friendships and dreams go up in flames? Taylor returns from "The Bachelorette" with unfinished business, an old temptation, and the pressure of life in the public eye. Whitney debuts on Broadway in New York City as tensions back home chase her. Back in Utah, the limits of loyalty are tested as fame, secrets and backlash threaten #MomTok - with every blowup making headlines. As the heat threatens to burn the sisterhood, have they finally flown too close to the sun? With rumors spiraling and the public demanding answers, the sisterhood starts to crack, and #MomTok must decide what - and who - it's willing to sacrifice."

The trailer begins with a producer off camera asking the ladies what they know about "this whole situation" and Mayci says, "There's so much stuff the public doesn't know."

That is seemingly referring to the allegations of domestic assault against Taylor, who was caught on camera throwing a chair at Mortensen in 2023. This incident was discussed in season one of "SLOMW," but the video was released to the public in March, just days before her "Bachelorette" season was to premiere. The season was ultimately pulled and has yet to air.

Production on season five of "SLOMW" was paused in the midst of legal disputes between the two, and some questioned whether Taylor would even be part of the season. But she is seen several times in the trailer, including a moment when she's FaceTiming with Dakota and asks him why he got her initials tattooed on his lips.

"It's giving obsessed," she tells him, to which he replied, "I am obsessed."

Jessi says, "They're like Romeo and Juliet in the TikTok age."

Season five also touches on Miranda's relationship with her ex, Chase. In one scene, she tells him, "I'm not gonna be disrespected!"

The fallout between Jen and Whitney after their "Dancing with the Stars" turns also continues. We see Jen ask, "Do you don't feel bad about any..." and Whitney interrupts to reply, "No, Jen. I don't."

Jessi also notes that "It feels like there are no friendships left in MomTok."

We'll see if that's true when all episodes of "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" season five drop September 10 on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+. It's a shorter season, with only five episodes. But have no fear, the show has been renewed for seasons six and seven!
