Crews respond to structure fire at Maxim Egg Farm on FM 442, Wharton County officials say

WHARTON COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- Several crews responded to a fire at a Wharton County farm on Wednesday, according to officials.

The Wharton County Constable's Office Precinct 2 said the structure fire happened at the Maxim Egg Farm on FM 442 between Boling and Lane City.

SkyEye flew over the area, where some roof damage was visible.

It's unclear at this point what caused the fire or if anyone was injured.

Officials urged people to avoid the area as an investigation continues.
